Show transcribed image text Quality Food Manufacturers (QFM) has production facilities in Lansing, Dallas, and Seattle, Production capabilities for these plants over the four-week planning period for children's clothing are listed in Table 9.12 in terms of number of shipments (each shipment is equivalent to the volume of clothing that can be shipped on one truck.) The firm distributes its clothes to retailers across the country through four regional distribution centers located in Ithaca, Miami, Atlanta, and Corpus Christi. The forecasts of demand for each of the distribution centers are given in Table 9.13. Management would like to determine how much of its production should be shipped from each plant to each distribution center. The cost for each unit shipped via each route is given in Table 9.14.
