Does the Degrees of freedom for a coin experiment change
depending on how many coins are flipped? I understand that in
genetics the degrees of freedom is [the number of phenotypes-1].
For example, if you are flipping one coin, then the degrees of
freedom is 1. Does this change if you are flipping 2 coins? Would
the degrees of freedom still be 1 because your only outcomes can be
heads or tails or would it be 3 because you can get Heads and
Heads, Heads and Tails, Tails and Heads, and Tails and Tails? Thank
